2023 EVENT RECAP

Professionals and leaders from Michigan’s cannabis and business community gathered at The Townsend Hotel on Thursday, October 26, 2023 for the premier B2B cannabis networking conference in the region. Thanks to Conifer Insurance Group, Leaf and Bud, The Mark Savaya Collection and Golden State Exotics as well as some of the largest operators in the state, Power Connections in Cannabis was a success.More than 400 attendees enjoyed opportunities to network, listen to a knowledgeable panel of experts, and discuss the future of the state’s cannabis industry.

“Not only did we have more than 400 hundred engaged attendees and some of the best speakers in the state, they were incredibly generous and helped us raise $54,500 for The Children’s Foundation. I’m so grateful that we were able to raise so much for a great cause.” said Derek Dickow, organizer of the event.

The Children’s Foundation advocates for the health of children in Michigan through research, education, programs, and other initiatives.

“We are grateful to Derek Dickow, his team and the generous attendees for this impactful donation,” said the foundation in a statement. “It will help advance the health and safety of children in our state and beyond,” said Andrew Stein, president and CEO of The Children’s Foundation.

In addition to the incredible display of generosity, attendees mixed and mingled, joined informative panels, heard an update from Brian Hanna, Executive Director of the Cannabis Regulatory Agency, and participated in a 1:1 speed networking session.
